Christian Back Tracks is a syndicated radio program that began in the fall of 2008. However, long before our first broadcast God had been working in the heart of host Mark Hunter to start a Christian oldies program.

Mark spent 15 years, working primarily in Christian radio. In 1995, while working at WCVC AM in Tallahassee, Florida Mark was called to start a Christian Country music program called Dynamite Christian Country. Mark hosted and produced that program until September of 2008 when he believed God was calling him to host and produce Christian Back Tracks instead.

Christian Back Tracks had been in the works for a few years. One summer, Mark was an MC for a Christian concert event where Randy Stonehill was performing. At the time, Mark was discouraged and considering leaving the field of radio. Back stage, Randy encouraged Mark to continue using his talents in Christian broadcasting. Soon after, Mark started hosting a Christian oldies program on local station WGNV. In the summer of 2008 Mark spoke with Randy Stonehill after a concert in Marshfield Wisconsin. Again Randy was an encouragement to Mark, and after much prayer Mark ended his Christian Country program and Christian Back Tracks was born.
